Cousins Island in Yarmouth, Maine
Growing up in southern Maine, I have my list of favorite places to relax outdoors when the weather permits. I love walks around Mackworth Island, hikes in Wolfe’s Neck Park and days on the water at Cousins Island.
I am an avid kayaker and recent beginner biker with most of my time spent in the waters and on the roads of Yarmouth. My grandparents lived near the water for years and I always adored and ached at the glorious mansions and waterfront estates, dying to know what they might look like on the inside.
Although I can’t just go knock on their door and say “hey! Let me take a tour of your house!” I can go to real estate sites and take a look at properties for sale, just to give myself a taste.
House for sale in Yarmouth, Maine
I rarely find houses for sale near me, so I was thrilled to find a recent house listing that I cycled through the other day. I discovered the Chebeague ferry parking lot on Cousins Island and was giddy to find a new kayak launch point.
After a quick read on Realtor.com I actually found a house for sale right next door and now we can all look inside and see what those waterfront estates are.
Private access to the water, your own boat ramp and dock, stunning views of Casco Bay from every room, this home is a local piece of Yarmouth paradise. You may be familiar with Cousins Island’s public coast, but here’s a look at a private estate.
