Pine Island Auto Care and the Matlacha Hookers challenge the island community to fill the trailer with school supplies. This event will take place on Saturday, July 23.

The Matlacha Hookers are looking to complete their school supply drive for Pine Island Elementary School, which includes some very generous donations from islanders this month, including Fisher’s of Men Lutheran Church and the Greater Pine Island Elks Charitable. Trust, with a Stuff the Trailer event co-sponsored by Pine Island Auto.

The trailer will begin its journey at the Ragged Ass Saloon at 11 a.m. in St. James City and head north stopping at Island Grill, Moose Lodge, Nick B’s, and Elks Lodge. The caravan will then head to Matlacha, stopping at the Yucatan Waterfront, Trader’s Hitching Post, Blue Dog Restaurant, the Perfect Cup, CW Fudge, Olde Fish House, Bert’s Bar and finally, wrap up this year’s endeavors at Miceli’s Restaurant.

Please drop off the following supplies at one of these locations by 10:00 a.m. on July 23 or meet the caravan along the route during the day: headphones for K-1 students and headphones for 3-grade students in grade 5, pencil boxes, scissors (blunt tip only), #2 pencils, erasers (cap and large pink rectangles), whiteboard markers (erasable and fine tip), Expo dry eraser markers, glue sticks, colored pencils, pens (black, blue, and red), white correction tape, pocket folders with center brad in any color, 1-inch 3-ring binders, Crayola markers (washable), Crayola crayons, tape, yellow highlighters , 3×5 plugs, 9V and AA batteries for microphones and computer mice, facial tissues, stickers (fun, numbers and alphabet letters), sticky notes, zipper bags (all sizes), bandage strips (large and small), paper towels and copy paper.
